Gazprom says works at peak loading since December 22

MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has been working with peak loading typical of autumn and winter since December 22 because of the cold weather, the company said on its Telegram channel on Monday.

"Gazprom’s production facilities have been working on autumn and winter highs since December 22. The reason is unusually low daily average temperatures, up to minus 17 Celsius in the united gas distribution zone," the company said.

According to the company, daily outtake from the Russian storages reached a peak for the last five years, while supplies to the local consumers reached 1.656 billion cubic meters per day.

A historical record of delivery to China was registered on December 23, while delivery to the European consumers are processed in full compliance with the contract obligations.
